Nestled in the mountains of the Plumas National Forest, Bucks Lake is home to a variety of fish and wildlife, miles of hiking and OHV trails and year-round recreation. With its 17 miles of shoreline, Bucks Lake offers plenty of recreation in the summer for those looking to wakeboard, kayak or paddle board. After the snow flies, over a hundred miles of groomed trails surround the lake for those looking to snow mobile, snow shoe or cross country ski.
Driving Directions
From Oroville (48 miles ): Take Exit 47 for Montgomery Street exit and head east on County Road B2. At the first traffic circle, take the first exit onto Washington Ave. Turn left onto Orange Ave and then an immediate right onto Bridge St. Continue on Highway 162 (the Oro-Quincy Highway) for 46 miles until you reach Bucks Lake Road. Turn left onto Bucks Lake Road (at the fire house) and travel the 2 miles through the resort area until you reach Lakeshore Resort.

From Reno (98 miles): Traveling north on US 395, take Exit 8 for CA-70 at Hallelujah Junction. After traveling through East Quincy and reaching the downtown area of Quincy, turn left on Crescent Street and take an immediate right turn onto Bucks Lake Road. Travel the 17 miles up the mountain until you reach Lakeshore Resort.
